Electric Tower by Gynormus-Cranius
Suggester says; Electric Tower by ~Gynormus-Cranius is the gobsmacking culmination of hard work and luck. Shots of urban thunderstorms are 5 cents a dozen, but this one is truly unique. 14944 by urg
Photographs from Pripyat always intrigue me, and when I stumbled upon 14944 by ~urg, it just took my breath away. This concert hall was abandoned over 25 years ago, when reactor 4 of the Chernobyl power plant was destroyed in a terrible disaster. Looking at the rubble on the stands, I can't help but feel amazed to see how fast man-made structures decay once we abandon them. The lighting helps set the eerie mood of the image, and the composition is spot on.(Featured by FritsPlays)

stair confusion by kraftseins
stair confusion by ~kraftseins is a great example of taking a unique approach in photographing staircases. The artist made great use of the lighting, the angle is very interesting, and the lack of color makes the details stand out brilliantly.(Featured by FritsPlays)
Fire water by arthurking83
Fire water by ~arthurking83 The suggester says; "I love the colors in this photograph, and the composition is just perfect.", and I couldn't agree more. The setting sun creates a stunning light show in the sky, as it colors the clouds in lovely shades of red. As the artist noted in a comment, there's a sense of irony in this photograph as well. According to the photographer, the structure emitting the steam clouds is a cooling tower, part of a power station that burns coal, a fossil fuel. The irony lays in the fact that something that is considered by most people as dangerous and bad (generating electricity by using fossil fuels) can be turned into something gorgeous (like this photograph). Be sure to check out the rest of this photographer's gallery!(Featured by FritsPlays, suggested by kinipelahh)
Forth Rail Bridge by sensorfleck
Fourth Rail Bridge by ~sensorfleck displays great usage of lines and a long exposure time by the photographer. The choice for black-and-white adds a dramatic feeling to the composition.(Featured by FritsPlays)

Getting to know you...
So I did one of these a while ago, and I loved it. Since then, I haven't been around much, but have still gained some new followers (not sure why, and I apologise for silence, but thank you anyway!) and I feel like I've completely lost touch with people along the way. So I want to get to know you!
New followers, tell me about yourself! Who are you? What medium do you partake in/admire most? What's the best thing that's happened to you lately?
Old followers, how are you?! What have you been up to? Fill me in on the gossip!
I'm not even sure anyone will read my journal anymore, but what the hell, it's worth a try
